AI bots already doing Govt jobs, minister admits

A MINISTER has revealed AI is being put to work in Parliament to save time by reading documents.

Alex Burghart admitted to using an "artificial intelligence red box", developed by the Cabinet Office to sift through his daily stack of papers.

And he claimed another minister is also using the experimental system, as is a senior civil servant.

Officials even tried having a ChatGPT-style bot handle enquiries on the gov.uk website with access to the Government database.
