Delhi Govt Blames AAP Era For Worsening School Waterlogging

Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood has levelled serious allegations of gross negligence against the previous Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government, holding it directly responsible for the ongoing problem of waterlogging in six government schools in Nithari — a situation that has impacted 14,214 students since 2020.
According to Sood, students in these institutions have been compelled to study — and in many instances be sent home — due to classrooms inundated with knee-deep water during the monsoon. "Our children are paying the price for their wrongdoings," he asserted, emphasising that despite repeated appeals from the Education Department since 2020, no remedial action was initiated by the then Kejriwal-led administration.
