We refer to the letter "Take decisive action against illegal excessive overtime" (Jan 13) by Ms Mizue Sauco of Transient Workers Count Too (TWC2).

The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) takes workplace safety and health seriously and has taken a multi-pronged approach to ensure the safety and well-being of workers. This includes educating employers and employees on the maximum hours of overtime permitted under the Employment Act, and working with NGOs and tripartite partners to raise awareness on workplace safety to both employees and employers.
