Thundery showers expected on several mornings in first half of Sept

It will be a wet start to September as thundery showers and gusty winds are expected on several mornings in the first half of the month.

In a statement on Sept 1, the Meteorological Service Singapore said south-west monsoon conditions will continue to prevail, with the total rainfall in the first fortnight slated to be above average over most parts of Singapore.

On some days, moderate and heavy thundery showers may also happen in the late morning and afternoon, it said, adding that winds will predominantly come from the south-east or south-west.
