PSA marks SG60 with container display tribute

Port operator PSA Singapore announced on July 18 a container display to commemorate the nation's upcoming birthday, and also as a tribute to Singapore's maritime history.
Made up of 271 containers from 14 shipping lines, the colourful display says "SG60 (heart symbol)" and "PSA (heart symbol) SG" and was assembled by PSA at the Tanjong Pagar Terminal over 32 hours.
PSA said in a statement that the display, measuring 57m by 101m by 14.6m, will be lit every night from July 25 to Aug 13 at Singapore's first container terminal, which opened in 1972.
"Beyond its visual impact, the display also symbolises PSA's strong and enduring partnership with its customers and stakeholders across the maritime and supply chain ecosystem," PSA said in the statement.
