Philippines, S. Korea upgrade ties to strategic partnership

Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr said on Oct 7 that his country and South Korea have upgraded bilateral ties to a strategic partnership, as he met his visiting counterpart, Mr Yoon Suk Yeol, for talks.

The two leaders discussed various issues, including the South China Sea and the situation on the Korean peninsula, as well as signed memoranda of understanding on coast guard cooperation and nuclear energy.
