Pedestrian, 84, dies in Choa Chu Kang accident; minibus driver arrested

A minibus driver was arrested on May 26 following an accident that resulted in the death of an 84-year-old male pedestrian.
When contacted, the police said they were alerted to the accident, which took place at the junction of Choa Chu Kang Avenue 1 and Choa Chu Kang Central, at around 6.15am.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, said the police. The minibus driver, a 53-year-old man, was arrested for careless driving causing death.
