Sept 5 South Africa (Fairview/Greyville) form analysis
-
RACE 1 (1,200M) An interesting opening event. Newcomer (7) LOTUS SILK is a Rafeef filly who represents the strong Richard Fourie-Alan Greeff combination and could score on debut.
(5) ICED MARMALADE did not show her best on the Polytrack and is likely to do a lot better on the grass.
(2) MONEY GALORE has run well in all three of her starts and can be a real threat to these rivals.
(1) DARLINGBUDSOFMAY has not been reliable but is capable of scoring.
RACE 2 (1,400M) (4) BRIGHT ERUPTION did not show much on debut but put in a much better effort second time around and should make a bold bid at beating these rivals.
(7) SHORI KAI showed promise on her debut and would not be a surprise winner.
(3) GREY WARRIOR and (1) PICK A POMODORO all have been patchy so far but are capable of improvement.
RACE 3 (1,600M) (1) BOMBER BAY is consistent and only found one better on the day last time. That was his first try with blinkers and he does set the standard for this race.
(4) QUICK CROWN has improved of late. Should fight out the finish.
(5) AETHELWULF put in a career-best performance last time and could have more to offer.
(6) KEENIA'S PRINCESS is improving and should contest the finish.
RACE 4 (1,600M) (5) ROTOTO was not disgraced last time and has winning claims in this line-up.
(9) BEER WITH THE BOYS seems better on the grass, so should be right there at the finish.
(6) FLOWER FESTIVAL is very consistent and can go one better this time.
(3) CATCH THE TUNE has run in better races than this and could upset.
RACE 5 (1,200M) (7) DANISH DYNAMITE is going about her way very nicely. She won well in her penultimate start and never looked in trouble when following up in August. She can complete her hat-trick.
(1) HOERIKWAGGO makes her local debut and should improve.
(3) BONJOUR LA VILLE does seem better than her last run would suggest.
