Three people, including a pregnant woman, were taken to hospital after a false ceiling in an al fresco dining area at Orchard Road's Liat Towers collapsed in the afternoon of Sept 12.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force said it received a call for assistance at 541 Orchard Road at about 4pm.
Two people were taken to Singapore General Hospital and another person was taken to KK Women's and Children's Hospital.
In response to queries, the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) said the structural integrity of the building was unaffected, after it was alerted and conducted an inspection.
"Preliminary findings show that the incident is localised and likely due to improper installation of the suspended ceiling," said a BCA spokesperson.
The spokesperson added that BCA has instructed the building owner to appoint a Qualified Person to advise on necessary precautions to remove danger, and to recommend permanent fixes.
When contacted, a representative of the building's management said the collapsed false ceiling was installed by the tenant.
"This is an isolated incident. We are unable to comment further, as investigations are ongoing," she said.
