Passenger vehicle sales rise 5.8 pc on GST 2.0 boost

Retail sales of passenger vehicles posted a 5.8per cent spike to 2,99,369 units in September, driven by the GST 2.0 reforms and the Navratri festivities.
According to data shared bythe Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA), sales of two-wheelers, tractors, and commercial vehicles also increased by 6.5per cent, 36per cent,and 2.6per cent, respectively. Three-wheelers and construction equipment recorded a decline of 7.2per cent and 19per cent, the data said. Notably, the overall automobile retail sales were up5.2per cent compared to
