Dhankhar Emphasised That India's Response Reflects Its Ancient Ethos Of Peace And Justice, Not Revenge.
Terming Operation Sindoor a befitting response to the barbaric attack at Pahalgam, Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Saturday drew parallels between Operation Sindoor and the killing of Al Qaeda terrorist Osama bin Laden by the US forces in Abbottabad in Pakistan in 2011.
Without naming Osama bin Laden, Dhankhar recalled the US operation on May 2nd, 2011. "This happened on May 2nd, 2011, when a global terrorist who planned, supervised, executed the September 11 attack inside the US in 2001. He was dealt with by the US similarly," he said.
"Bharat has done it and done it to the knowledge of the global community," the Vice-President said.
Addressing the Annual Convocation of Jaipuria Institute of Management at Bharat Mandapam here, Dhankhar congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Armed forces for the success of Operation Sindoor.
