Mystery Drones Over Kolkata Spark Security Concerns

A renewed wave of security concern has gripped Kolkata after at least seven unidentified drones were spotted hovering over key locations—including the city's port areas—late on Monday night.
This prompted a high-alert response from the police, Indian Army, and Air Force.
According to eyewitness accounts, the drones were seen between 9.45 p.m. and 10.30 p.m. in various parts of the city, including Bhabanipur, the Maidan, Kidderpore port area, and the cultural hub of Rabindra Sadan. Police sources confirmed that at least four drones remained airborne for nearly 45 minutes, sending immediate alerts to central control rooms and defence agencies.
