ED raids 42 places in WB,Jharkhandto dig out coal smugglers

Enforcement Directorate (ED) personnel fanned out into various locations in South Bengal and Jharkhand since early morning today in pursuit of evidence and proof of a multi-crore coal smuggling scam carrying on in the region for years.
Separate teams comprising over a hundred officials and staff of the Directorate carried out extensive coordinated raids in at least 42 locations in Bengal and Jharkhand, armed with the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, to unearth details of the much talked-about coal scam by organised mafia networks.
