ALC issues advisory on 20 pc bonus for tea garden workers

The additional labour commissioner (ALC) for North Bengal, Partha Biswas, on Friday issued an advisory to the managements of tea plantations across Darjeeling, Kurseong, Kalimpong, Terai and Dooars, directing payment of 20 per cent bonus to workers for the financial year 2024-2025.
As per the advisory, workers in all tea gardens of these regions are to receive the bonus by 15 September 2025. The Labour Commissionerate will closely monitor compliance to ensure timely disbursement.
