The Commissionerate Police on Sunday busted a currency note exchange fraud by arresting five persons, including a woman, who took unsuspecting people for a ride by promising double the value of each exchanged note.

The arrested persons, according to police, are Anil Kumar Mistry (37), Chandan alias Dilip Singh (48), Batakrushna Pradhan (55), Chitaranjan Das (40), and Mamata Samal (40).
