In a glaring instance of bureaucratic apathy, Kishor Kumar Sahu, an 80% disabled government school headmaster from Badabahal, has been struggling for over two and a half months to get his disability certificate renewed.

Despite being wheelchair-bound due to paralysis in his lower limbs, the renewal process has dragged on without resolution, pushing him into deep mental distress.

Sahu had applied for renewal on 16 April. Since then, he claims, there has been no communication or progress. "Every time I ask, I get evasive answers or am simply ignored," said a visibly frustrated Sahu.
