Bonai forest division draws plan to fight forest fire

The Bonai Forest Division (BFD) has drawn up a comprehensive plan to mitigate forest fires based on data available for the last three years, informed DFO Lalit Patra.
"We are fully prepared and at the same time a little nervous because fire spreads very fast. Forest line creation and maintenance is a Herculean task. But we are doing that," he said. The officer said, "this year 1483 kilometres of fire line have been created in reserve forest and permanent reserve forest areas in the division.
