- RITWIK MUKHERJEE

The company's 100,000 car sales milestone recently is a significant testament to the trust and confidence its customers place in the brand, the auto-major feels. It has, in fact, demonstrated consistent growth, driven by a strong product portfolio, customer-centric initiatives, and an expanding focus on digitalisation and sustainability.

Quite significantly, Tier-II and Tier-III markets are increasingly becoming key growth drivers for Audi India.

Speaking to The Statesman, Balbir Singh Dhilon, Head of Audi India, delves at length on wide-ranging issues including how Audi as a brand has been evolving in India, what would be the German automaker's new focus, the EV strategy and so on.

Excerpts:

Q: How has Audi's brand perception evolved in India over the past decade, and what are you doing to stay aspirational for new-age luxury buyers?

A: Audi's brand perception in India has evolved significantly over the past decade, reflecting our journey of innovation, progress, and deepening customer engagement. Today, Audi stands not just for luxury but also sustainability, digitalisation, and a future-forward mindset. One out of every 4th Audi customer today is a repeat Audi customer, which is a strong testament to the brand's enduring appeal and the value we continue to deliver. We look forward to continuing to blend luxury with responsibility, offering products and experiences that resonate with the evolving aspirations of Indian consumers.
