Nature lovers urged to ‘give back’ by helping in countryside
COUNCIL leaders have praised their ‘incredible’ countryside volunteers and urged other people to get involved to help protect the county's green spaces.
Staffordshire County Council manages several country parks including Apedale, Deep Hayes, Greenway Bank, Cannock Chase and Chasewater.
Bosses say volunteers play a crucial role in ensuring everyone can enjoy the ‘special’ spaces.
From welcoming visitors and supporting events to assisting with conservation work and wildlife surveys, the ‘time and dedication’ of volunteers ‘makes a real difference’.
