Tributes paid to city music icon Mike Lloyd

MUSIC promoter Mike Lloyd has passed away.
The sad news has been announced by Music Mania.The company had been founded by Mike in 2000 following the collapse of the Royal Theatre in Hanley. He had remained an influential figure in Stoke-on-Trent’s cultural scene and was included in the 100 faces mural to celebrate the city centenary.
In a social media tribute, Music Mania stated: “It is with profound sadness that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of Mike Lloyd, the much-loved founder and familiar face of our company. Mike passed away unexpectedly whilst travelling home from the United States, and our entire family and team are deeply devastated by this loss.
