'There's signs of change after years of stagnation'

The Sentinel

THIS week marks one year since I was elected as our Member of Parliament here in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

- Adam Jogee - MP for Newcastle

It has been a real pleasure and an honour to serve.

I want to thank everyone who's taken the time to get in touch, raise concerns, share ideas, or stop for a conversation on your doorstep or in town.

Representing our community is a huge privilege - and one I take seriously every single day.

Over the past year, I've worked hard to be a visible, active, and responsive MP - focused on delivering practical results: supporting local people through casework, raising local priorities in Parliament, and backing policies that make our lives better.

Since the election, my office has taken on more than 4,500 separate casework issues. These aren't just numbers - they're people who needed help navigating a complex system.

One resident, after months of delays, finally got the NHS treatment they'd been waiting for.

Another was able to move into more suitable housing after I pushed for their case to be reviewed.

My team and I are here to step in when the system doesn't work as it should.

I've visited more than 150 local businesses - from start-ups in Silverdale to employers in Chesterton - not only to listen but to act.
