Mum's big fundraiser after toddler undergoes heart op
A MUM has thanked the hospital which saved her two-year-old son’s life by completing a long-distance charity challenge.
Mum-of-three Catherine Robinson, from Fenton, raised £1,600 for Birmingham Children’s Hospital by completing 62 miles in a month.
She undertook the task after son Oscar had open heart surgery during the first few days of his life.
He stopped breathing after his medication stopped working - and am operation saved his life.
Catherine said: "I owe my everything to Birmingham Children’s Hospital and the team who not only saved his life but cared for both of us at such a traumatic time so I'm taking on this challenge to give back, say thank you and spread awareness."
