JAYDEN Stockley hopes he can make an impact for Port Vale and help the club get out of their recent rut.

- Clive Youlton

The 32-year-old striker has previously spoken about wanting to leave a legacy at Vale Park after helping the club back into League One last season.

This term, in the league, he has made just one start in 17 games - on the opening day at Rotherham United as well as just six substitute appearances.

He has been an unused substitute twice while, either through injury or being left out, he has not been involved at all in seven league matches.

Stockley hasn't got a goal or assist to his name either.

But he has changed his philosophy and just wants to give his best when he plays to help the team turn around fortunes.

"First and foremost those lads in the dressing room are hurting," he told the club's pre-match press conference ahead of tomorrow's trip to Lincoln City. "We've had huge games we didn’t get the better of.
