New plans for estate after bin collection fears

It will now have fewer unadopted roads
PLANS for a 138-home estate have been revised after councillors raised concerns over bin collections.
The original reserved matters application for the development off Mucklestone Wood Lane in Loggerheads included 16 properties on unadopted 'quiet lanes' which would have no direct access for refuse vehicles.
Planning committee members at Newcastle Borough Council were dissatisfied that future neighbours would have to drag their bins to a central collection point.
They also raised fears over bin wagons having to reverse down some streets to avoid the unadopted roads.
