SOPHIE Bloor describes the pain of being a bereaved mother as 'like nothing else'

The 26-year-old became pregnant with her first child - baby Ava - in November 2019.

But, tragically, doctors confirmed her daughter had died in the womb in February 2020.

Now Sophie, of Hanley, has opened up about what she went through for Baby Loss Awareness Week.

She said: "It seemed like a completely normal pregnancy.

"Of course, I had morning sickness and all the rest of it. But there was nothing major to set any alarm bells ringing. My 12-week scan was fine too.

"But then I started feeling properly sick at around the 16-week mark.

"I got taken to hospital, where they did another scan. It revealed that my baby had no heartbeat.
