Moore delighted as his much-changed Vale side showed 'resilience' in cup

DARREN Moore changed nine players at Blackpool but insisted there will be no differential between his league and cup teams.
The Port Vale boss says changing so many of the team from the one that played against Cardiff is just about utilising the squad and getting everybody match ready.
Next up is Saturday’s lunchtime kickoff at Burton Albion in League One, and Moore reckons he has been given problems over team selection.
He told Port Vale TV: "The biggest thing for me was I wanted us to feel that everyone will not look at it as two separate teams from what they would probably deem a league side and a cup side.
"It’s a squad and the squad was called upon. And they performed really well.
"I said to them I wanted them to give me problems when choosing the team going forward, but also for the whole group to be on the same page, and they did that.
"We showed resilience off the ball and we saw the goal threat all evening and we got the all-important goal late on, albeit from a set-play.
"You've seen the aerial prowess Mo can give us, as well as his work on the deck. And he came up with the winner. I'm pleased for Mo, pleased for the club and it was a good result."
He added: "I think it was a good game for us to get into the second round. I thank the fans for coming over.
"It was a large travelling support, really good, and we produced a gritty, determined display, plucky in the first half off the ball."
I think in possession of the ball we were a bit hesitant in areas and unsure.
