Road ban would have caused him 'exceptional hardship'
DAD Raman Heer has been allowed to carry on driving - despite having 16 penalty points on his licence.
The 33-year-old was arrested after police were made aware of a BMW in Hassall Street, Newcastle, at 12.30am on July 18.
Prosecutor Suzanne Swindail told North Staffordshire Justice Centre: “Police approached the vehicle. The engine was running.
“A man was sitting in the driver's seat who appeared to be asleep. He was arrested for driving while unfit and was taken to custody.
