Jack wins award for quick-thinking actions
A HOSPITAL porter who came to the aid of a collapsed patient has been hailed for his quick-thinking actions.
Jack Thornton, who was working in the imaging department at County Hospital, discovered the patient on the floor of a nearby toilet. With the help of colleagues, Jack transferred the patient to the hospital’s emergency department for treatment.
In recognition of his quick-thinking, Jack was named Employee of the Month by Dr Simon Constable, chief executive University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM).
