Second win in a row at 'in bloom' awards
NEWCASTLE has struck gold for the second year running at the Heart of England in Bloom regional awards.
Newcastle-under Lyme Business Improvement District (BID) - in partnership with the borough council - has won gold in the BID category of the awards and has been named overall BID category winner again.
It follows on from a successful 2024 campaign, when the town also took gold, the overall BID category title and the Mike Garwood Memorial Trophy for Queen's Gardens.
Heart of England in Bloom is part of the wider RHS Britain in Bloom campaign and judges more than just flowers.
The criteria spans horticultural excellence, environmental responsibility, biodiversity, sustainability, cleanliness and community participation - which matches the BID's vision to create an attractive, animated and welcoming town centre.
