Five-star Williams puts Betley on cruise control against Oakamoor

BETLEY cruised to the points in their NSSCL Division Three game against Oakamoor seconds.

Visitors Oakamoor could only muster 115 all out on their road trip as Adam Williams helped himself to 5-6. There were also a couple of victims for Ben Mogg.

Luke Walker (45) and Arthur Wood (24) made the most progress with the bat.

In reply, Betley lost just one wicket in knocking off the runs as Tom Happe compiled 44 not out and Ryan Cheetham finished unbeaten on 41.

Bagnall Norton seconds were also comfortable winners on their visit to Bignall End 2nd XI.

Bagnall Norton were set 148 for victory - and pocketed a seven-wicket triumph. Ben Richardson's 44 was backed up by 43 from Paul Tomkinson and Mark Stokes' 34 to see them to the winning line.

Bignall End had earlier struck 147 all out, centred around Adam Simcox's half-century.
