Family and friends say farewell at funeral
October 29, 2025
|The Sentinel
FAMILY and friends have said a final 'goodbye' to a much-loved 26-year-old who died unexpectedly at the Royal Stoke last month.
More than 100 mourners paid their respects to Liam Thomas Byatt at Carmountside Crematorium on Monday.
His sister and 'soulmate' Nicola gave a beautiful poetic tribute to her little brother during a moving speech. Celebrant Steve Game-Blackmoor told the procession how Liam, from Longton, had been independent from an early age, and at two years old escaped home 'to buy a train from Woolworths'.
