Drugs runner with 'appalling record' had wrap behind ear

DRUGS runner Shaun Smith has been spared jail after he was caught with wraps of heroin and monkey dust.
The 58-year-old agreed to sell both substances in return for getting his fix for free, Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court heard.
But he was arrested following a police raid.
Now Smith has been sentenced to a two-year community order with a rehabilitation activity requirement for 25 days and a six-month drug rehabilitation requirement.
Prosecutor Caroline Harris said police raided an address in Furnival Street, Cobridge, on August 8, 2022.
Miss Harris said: “The defendant was in the property and was handcuffed by a police sergeant.
“Next to him was a substance in a bag, a one deal bag of drugs.
