Appeal as hammer-wielding cyclist attacks stores

A HOME Bargains worker called police after discovering a hammer-wielding masked cyclist on the rampage.

The employee raised the alarm after the cyclist struck one of the store windows with the hammer at the Tunstall branch on Alexandra Retail Park, pictured.
It comes as a door was smashed at the Barnardo's charity shop on the same retail park.
The alarm was initially raised at 5.30am on Saturday.
