Anger as firm's skips 'left outside homes for weeks'

FED-UP customers are demanding action after being lumbered with skips outside their homes for weeks.
-
The Sentinel has spoken to three families who independently hired skips from Staffordshire Waste Recycling Centre.
The Longport firm had its general waste licence suspended by the Environment Agency in April. It has warned customers that 'there may be delays in skip collections until further notice'.
Now those who hired the skips want them taken away. Claire Stone, of Congleton, had a skip delivered on February 15 and expected to have it for a fortnight. But it has been there for more than three months.
The 65-year-old said: "I'd got some general sorting out that I was doing in my spare room. The council hasn't renewed the lease at the tip in Congleton so to get anything to a dump you need to take a trip to Macclesfield. So I thought it'd be a lot easier just to hire a skip. Chuck everything in there, they take it away, job's a good 'un.
