VEDANTA Aluminum, India’s largest aluminium producer, has been providing quality healthcare services to more than 35,000 residents across 52 remote villages in Odisha through its flagship Mobile Health Unit (MHU) services.

Operating in the districts of Rayagada, Kalahandi, Sundargarh and Jharsuguda, the company has conducted more than 2,000 free health camps over the last two years, addressing vital healthcare needs in underserved regions.
Focused on bridging healthcare gaps in rural Odisha, the MHU camps offer a range of free services, including medical checkups, malaria screenings, blood sugar tests, and distribution of essential medicines. Each MHU is fully equipped with diagnostics kits and basic medicines, and staffed by a qualified doctor, nurse, lab technician, and pharmacist. In addition to addressing immediate healthcare needs, the initiative emphasizes preventive care through regular awareness sessions, contributing to the overall well-being of the community.
