Shares edge up on bargain hunting

The Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) pulled off a win yesterday to put an end to its recent bleeding, which included a steep drop on Monday caused by the recent developments in the Middle East.

The PSEi advanced by 0.29 percent or 18.55 points, snapping a two-day losing skid to close at 6,445.38.

However, the broader All Shares index stayed in the red, slipping by 0.28 percent or 10.15 points to 3,557.71.
