I read your column (“Wanted: ICI public hearing,” The STAR, Sept. 29, 2025) and with due ect, I believe the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) is doing the right thing in not holding public hearings at these initial stages of its work.

Your view that these must be public and if not the ICI may be complicit in a cover-up of the powerful is unfair to the members of the ICI and a disservice to civilized inquiry.
