Ramon Ang offers to help solve MM flooding for free

To help solve flooding problems in Metro Manila, San Miguel Corp. (SMC) is offering to conduct a cleanup of rivers and other waterways at no cost to the government.
SMC president and CEO Ramon Ang offered the help to local government units (LGUs) in the National Capital Region and the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) for free.
"The LGUs simply have to identify the place affected by flooding and, without fanfare, we will immediately go down and fix the problem for them," Ang said during a media briefing at the SMC main office in Pasig yesterday.
Ang noted the need to dredge and widen rivers as well as rid it of piled-up garbage and sediments.
