Netflix Phl transforms Poblacion into Hawkins
December 02, 2025
|The Philippine Star
Welcome to Hawkins, Makati. For three days, Pinoy fans of "Stranger Things" had an "Upside Down Experience" as Netflix Philippines transformed Poblacion in Makati into the iconic fictional town from the hit series to mark its fifth and final season.
Five spots across Poblacion, one of the hippest hangout districts in Metro Manila, were reimagined as some of Hawkins' most recognizable landmarks.
The creative playground and social club, The Annex House was transformed into the “Byers House” where the iconic “Alphabet Wall” can be found. In Season 1, Will and his mom, Joyce, played by Noah Schnapp and Winona Ryder, respectively, used the Alphabet Wall Christmas lights to communicate with each other. Since then, it has become one of the favorite scenes in the series.
The Fun Roof housed the “Starcourt Mall,” the central location of “Stranger Things” Season 3. It was among the most interactive areas where fans played different games, including Steve's (Joe Keery) Batting Cage.
