Localized flooding was reported in several parts of Metro Manila on Friday afternoon following intermittent rains, according to the Flood Control and Information Center of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).

forecast window. The LPA, together with the prevailing southwest monsoon, is bringing rains over large portions of the country. Cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms are affecting Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Western Visayas, Negros Island Region and the Zamboanga Peninsula. These conditions may lead to flash floods and landslides, especially in low-lying and mountainous areas.
Meanwhile, rainfall in Quezon province, the Bicol Region and the rest of Visayas and Mindanao is being caused by the trough of the LPA.
PAGASA stated that the volume of rainfall in many areas, particularly in Luzon and the Visayas, may reach 50 to 100 millimeters from Thursday through the weekend.
