Aside from music, Kuh Ledesma is also into her ministry.
It involves spreading the good news, giving Bible copies, gracing worship boot camps and doing outreach activities.Recently, she and her team went to some places in Cebu to visit our kababayan affected by Typhoon Uwan and share a message of hope to them: These included Taya and Taytay, Danao, Umapad, and Cotcot, Liloan, and schools like Maguikat National High School, Don Bosco and Jubay Integrated School.
“It's my ministry. I really go to different places to share the Word of God, (and) more importantly, (the message of) salvation — kaligtasan,” said the Original Pilipino Music (OPM) icon ina virtual chat with The STAR. “One of the places that I also go to is prison. Again, when you go there, natutuwa rin sila (people there are also happy to see you). Ang panginoon talaga binigyan ako ng pagmamahal sa aking mga kababayan (our Lord has really given me the love for our fellow Filipinos).”
Celebrities like Kuh can use their status to inspire people and give them hope in challenging times and in dealing with their everyday plight.
