Kevin Tan named AGI president; Travellers ushers in new leadership

The 44-year-old Kevin Tan is taking over as president of the listed holding company of his father, tycoon Andrew Tan, in line with the retirement of key executive Kingson Sian.

Alliance Global Group Inc. (AGI) said Sian relinquished his position as director, president and chief operations officer of the company following his retirement from Travellers International Hotel Group on June 1.

In special meeting, AGI's remaining directors, while still constituting a quorum, resolved to appoint Kevin as president of the company to serve the unexpired term of Sian.

The new position will add to his current roles as chief executive officer and vice chairman of AGI.

Having been part of the company since 2012, Kevin also serves as a director in numerous subsidiaries of the conglomerate, including Megaworld Corp., Emperador Inc., Empire East Land Holdings Inc., Global Estate Resorts Inc. and MREIT Inc.

Kevin holds a Bachelor of Arts Major in Humanities with Professional Certificate in Management from the University of Asia and the Pacific. He has extensive experience in real estate and executive management functions.
