DA to launch centralized command center

The Department of Agriculture (DA) is set to launch its new command center soon that will consolidate real-time data and artificial intelligence (AI) analytics to guide evidence-based policymaking and modernize the management of the farm sector.
In a statement yesterday, the DA said Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. has urged officials and employees to accelerate data collection ahead of the launch.
The DA said the command center will consolidate real-time information on crop production, livestock inventories, weather, imports and exports, price movements, satellite field monitoring and supply chain conditions.
