As 'Incognito' Nears Its End, Direk Lester Pimentel Has Nothing But Praise for the Cast

With the show about ex-military operatives turned private military contractors down to its final episodes, direk Lester reflected on the performances and teamwork of the all-star cast: Daniel Padilla, Ian Veneracion, Baron Geisler, Kaila Estrada, Anthony Jennings, Maris Racal and Richard Gutierrez.

"They are very supportive of each other," he told The STAR about the Star Creatives series written by Henry King Quitain. "Natuwa lang ako. It's a healthy environment if your actor is helping push another actor."

Looking back on the "Incognito" journey so far, direk Lester stressed how crucial it was to work with talented actors, not just popular ones.

"Malaking bagay talaga kung ang artistang magaling. Magaling, hindi lang sikat. Kasi tutulungan ka nila pagandahin yung ginagawa niyo. With their help, you create a better, quality show. Everyone was all in."

Just how all in? Here's what direk Lester had to say about each actor:

On Daniel Padilla:

"Si DJ, ang laki ng eksena. We would sit down and talk about it. I tell him what the goal of the sequence is, what I want to achieve. But I trust (the cast). I don't micro-manage. So, it's up to him how he performs. I just give him guidelines... That's how I direct—very collaborative. That's why I need a skilled collaborator (like DJ).
