ANGELINE QUINTO REVISITS ACTING WITH 'ANG HAPPY HOMES NI DIANE HILARIO'

After a hiatus from film acting, Angeline is revisiting it and again embracing her actress persona in “Ang Happy Homes ni Diane Hilario,” directed by Marlon Rivera.

She is traversing a familiar territory and treats film enthusiasts to different emotions in the title role.

"Well, ganun naman talaga ako sa personal na buhay (that's who I am in my personal life)," said Angeline about the kindness and sense of community and camaraderie her character represents when asked by The STAR in a recent talkback or group chat. "Alam mo yun, kasi tayong mga Pinoy naman, di ba?, kasi sa totoong buhay natin, meron naman talaga tayong mga kapitbahay (you know us, Filipinos, we have neighbors), and naranasan ko yan kung saan ako lumaki sa Sampaloc (and I experienced that in a place where I grew up in Sampaloc, Manila) na nakita ko kung gaano kabait, ka-matulungin ang mga kapitbahay namin (and I had seen how kind and helpful they all were).

Yes, people need people, as the song says, but the level of attachment and involvement varies from one place to another. In the tenement named Happy Homes, where Diane inhabits, regardless of the diverse beliefs of its people, their ties are strong.
