Students summit calls for Attorney General Pam Bondi’s resignation for her role
US President Donald Trump faces a revolt from a MAGA base he created in Tampa in Florida. The ghost of the Jeffrey Epstein files and Clients list has come back to haunt him. The weekend was dominated by news of FBI number 02 Dan Bongino’s clash with Attorney General Pam Bondi & White House Chief of Staff Susan Wiles that some speculated that Bongino would quit the FBI. Equally rumours about his chief Kash Patel also quitting over the issue were dismissed by Patel himself as conspiracy theories.
Yet, the student summit at Tampa Florida was vociferous in calling for the dismissal of Bondi as she had first said the files were on her table and she would investigate but, turned 180 degrees now to say the department found no clients list as alleged and sought closure for the issue, which angered FBI deputy director Dan Bongino.
Trump has decided to pick his biggest political fight to date with the MAGA base he created in his own image, thousands of his adherents were gathered together at Tampa, Florida calling for the dismissal of his favourite pick Bondi whom he continued to defend as she is doing a fantastic job and let’s get past this issue.
The Student Action Summit, hosted by the conservative activist group Turning Point USA, only wanted to talk about the “Epstein files.” And the Clients List. “I think that these people—and I don’t know, for whatever reason, there could be reasons—but I don't think they’re telling us the truth about Epstein,” podcaster Brandon Tatum told the assembled crowd at the Tampa Convention Center.
“I think that that guy was involved in something nefarious that implicates a whole lot of people. And my guess is that a whole lot of people may happen to be some of our allies and some people that we don’t want to have a bad relationship with.”
Trump however pulled the rug out from his base Saturday evening when he released a lengthy social media post that completely dismissed the importance of the issue.
