EPG raises alarm over illegal garbage dumping at Guryul Ravine

The Environmental Policy Group (EPG) has raised serious concerns over the establishment of a large illegal garbage dumping yard near the Guryul Ravine Fossil Park in Khonmoh, warning of irreversible damage to a globally significant geo-heritage site.
Guryul Ravine, dating back 252 miilion years, is the only known site with definitive evidence of the world’s first recorded tsunami. Recognized globally by geologists and palaeontologists, it provides critical insights into Earth’s history, mass extinctions, and climate shifts at the PermianTriassic boundary.
