Uniting talents, celebrating diversity
December 04, 2024
|The New Indian Express
E all know how a good song, dance, or performance can lift our spirits and bring us closer together. Art has this magical ability to make us feel connected, no matter our background or abilities. And this is what the Marghazhi Matram 2024 festival is all about—celebrating the diversity and creativity of differently-abled artistes in a way that is inspiring, inclusive, and heartwarming.
-

Organised by SciArtsRUs in collaboration with Artabilities 4 All and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan (BVB), the festival will take place over six days. It promises to be a celebration of talent and expression, showcasing the remarkable abilities of artistes from different walks of life.
The inaugural day on December 6, held at Rasika Ranjani Sabha, will kick off with performances that uniquely blend sign language singing by deaf children with neurodiverse artists, followed by a percussion performance led by maestro Suresh Vaidyanathan with rural boys performing Konnachoir. Musician Sakethraman will present "Carnatify," where Carnatic music meets Harry Potter themes, while Kalai Koothan School of Dance will offer a fusion of folk and Bharatanatyam.
