Stampede: DCP warned govt against holding RCB event

FOUR days after the M Chinnaswamy Stadium stampede that claimed 11 lives during the RCB victory celebrations, a letter by the head of security at Vidhana Soudha, opposing the RCB felicitation event on the grand steps of the building is doing the rounds.
The letter, written by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Vidhana Soudha Security) MN Karibasavana Gowda to the secretary of the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (DPAR), warned in advance about the risks of holding a felicitation for RCB players. The letter was written on Tuesday morning, a few hours before the programme
