BJP minority morcha forms 7-member panel to seek views on Waqf Bill

AMID criticism of the Waqf (Amendment) Bill by major Muslim bodies, the BJP has decided to seek suggestions from the community on the proposed legislation, which is currently being deliberated upon by the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC).
The BJP's Minority Morcha has formed a seven-member team that includes some current chiefs of state units of Waqf Boards. Sources within the BJP said that its minority wing, headed by Jamal Siddiqui, will seek diverse viewpoints from the community as well as others about the proposed reforms in Waqf boards.
